11/01/25 Saturday w/Raymond

Notes about the shift in general:  When I arrived the dumpster was closed and locked. Wren I entered, I checked the inventory levels. We were a little light on meatballs but we have enough to get us through the weekend. I met with Oscar, the electrician, as he started the install of the parking lot lights. The install went well. I'll sent an update to Mettler when the sun went down. Oscar will come back and confirm that the positioning of the lights are correct. While working my figure 8s, I met a family from the Boston area that said sense the left Boston 7 years ago, they have been searching for New York/Boston style pizza. They said that they are so glad they found Home Slice Pizza and this is their new spot. The team members are very happy about the new lights in the parking lot. Again, thank you Mettler and everyone for this costly and important upgrade. One of our regulars said Wow, this is good! The shift picked up after the 6:00 p.m. large order. It was a needed boost in sales. Breaks started at 7:30 p.m. and ended at 8:00 p.m. All BOH team members were able to take breaks.

Next shift be on the lookout for

6. How did you show love? I gave Bailey a big high five for handling a unhappy guest. (See below)

Notes for FOH: Slices were moving quickly and there was good communication between the BOH and FOH

One of our valued guests was a little challenging. She placed an order for a slice and then a few minutes later placed another order for a margarita slice. She started raising her voice when they both did not come out at the same time, talking as if  HSP owes her child support. She threatened Bailey saying "Do you want me to give you a bad review?" Bailey handled the situation with charm and grace saying "No mam, thank you for coming in." We appreciate all of our guests, even the ones that challenges us to prove that we are truly guest-centric. My hat off to Bailey.
