6/15/25 Sunday Mid w/Raymond
Notes about the shift in general: When I arrived the recycle dumpster was closed and locked. When I entered the building, I reviewed the truck orders I placed yesterday. I then started on the inventory count. I checked cookie quality and slice quality and they were on point. Julio was involved in an auto accident so he ran a little late. He was not hurt, but his car is in bad shape. Julio is catching on to the dough make process and he will be signed off after his solo prep. I spoke to Evan about slice quality as well as how Marsal is our showcase, both in the slice window and any area that is in line of sight of the guests. I picked up 2# bags for the FOH.
I was unaware that the last of the bags were pulled from the shelf. More bags has been ordered and it will be on the truck in the a.m. Due to sales Evan was cut early and Juan Carlos was moved to Marsal. The rain may have impacted sales. It was unusually slow for a Sunday night. I noticed a delivery driver waiting in the lobby, while I was covering Marsal. I asked the cashiers if he was waiting for another order and I was informed that he was waiting for a slice. Cynthia was very clear that guests orders are not to wait while drivers place personal orders. I informed the driver that we do not do that, but sense the slice was coming out, I will let him have the purchased slice. He became out of sorts and said well, I'll just get my money back. I returned to Marsal and he made it a point to pass by Marsal and say "Ass." Now, he could have been referencing the point that he was feeling butt hurt over his decision to not take the slice, I am not sure. I informed Ryan that he is not to return.
It was a steady flow for sales. Breaks started at 6:30 p.m. and ended at 7:45 p.m. All BOH team members were able to take breaks.
