Notes about the shift in general:

 The day started off quite well; we were well-prepared and focused on getting everything finished. We were constantly on the move, and around 3:00 PM, we began stocking up the front display with plenty of pizzas. Once the afternoon shift arrived, I took the opportunity to place the order with Houston Avocado for tomorrow; I also organized the vegetable walk-in cooler, as more produce is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. We had plenty of staff on hand; noticing that we were running low on Cherry Peppers, I assigned two people to prep a fresh batch. I also gave Noe a bit more instruction on slicing pizzas for the front display. The salad team worked on prep tasks and restocked their line, and—with tickets coming in steadily—business was brisk around 6:00 PM. We then began taking our breaks; the entire team got their downtime, and I spent that time double-checking to ensure that nothing would be missing for the rest of the evening.

The Sicilian-style pizzas turned out quite well—they were just the right size. The pizza slices were crispy, and the toppings and sauce passed the test.

Notes about the shift in general:  When I arrived, the dumpster was closed and locked. I stopped to pick up tomatoes due to the sharp increase in pricing. I walked the store and checked supplies before placing the BEK truck order for tomorrow. I called Republic again regarding their not picking up recycling. I was informed that one of their drivers called off and that impacted a number of routes. They will pick up tomorrow. I called our Houston Avocado Rep and we discussed price corrections on tomatoes and when we could expect to see them. At this time they anticipate that pricing should get back to market norms in 1-2 weeks. In the meanwhile, I will continue to purchase 4X5 tomatoes from HEB at significant cost savings. The shift started slow and then picked up at 6:00 p.m. Both the Roto and Marsal lines did well during the pop.   Notes about the shift in general:  When I arrived, the dumpster was closed and locked. I walked the store and confirmed inventory and placed PFG and BEK  truck orders.  I worked on the new shift lead training program. Father's Day was busier this year. Last year we ended at Net $8,748, we are current at Net $12,010. The shift started slow but then picked up slightly from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Bresks started 6:30 p.m. and ended at 8:00 p.m. All team members were able to take breaks.  The World Cup tomorrow: The accident on the transit line that caused bus routes to fill in, could have impacted our sales.  Next shift be on the lookout for:  Volume pops during the day. 1.   Next shift be on the lookout for: Notes about the shift in general:  it was a day to say the least. i spent the opening doing a lot of paperwork, because of this, i was not able to do a lot by way of set up. they did fall behind on making house pies. we had pies in the window for open but no back ups. the 10:45 order, pushed them back a bit, but we worked on getting the other pies made. Pedro did well keeping up on roto and will handled marsal well, and helped out on roto when he could. Once I finished with inventory I started running breaks. We had a pretty steady flow of business. Stayed relatively slow. I put Leo on some cleaning tasks and he did a bit of prep on his station. The shift stayed relatively slow after that.
